This is one of my favorite Bellarke moments ever. So I slowed it way down so we can appreciate every second of it. The way his head turns to her instinctually and he doesn’t even hesitate before stepping in front of her to protect her from Indra even though he could get skewered. (But why does he step like 1 foot in front of the sword? Like, Bell honey, you could’ve pushed them back so you weren’t so close to it. Clarke starts out with a good 4 feet from it). How his arm holds her back like he’s a mum who throws her arm in front of her kid’s chest when she has to suddenly step on the brake. The way she clings on to his arm desperately because she knows he’s all riled up and she doesn’t want things to get worse. Because she knows he will die before he lets the grounders hurt her or Octavia (thought I’m pretty sure he’s not thinking about Octavia in this particular moment). The way he fights to keep his arm up in front of her even though she tries to push it down. And of course you can clearly see their height difference in this shot, and how Bellamy’s gunna protect smol bean Clarke.

Not to mention that Lincoln also jumps up and pushes Octavia behind him, and Kane stands in front of Abby, and the boys form a barricade around the girls they love. They looks like guard dogs that will attack if the person they love is harmed. That they’re gunna protect their respective girl at all costs.
